Need and importance of BRTS in Bhopal/Indore:-


NEED:-


Population Growth:-now a days in India population are
growing on a faster pace therefore the problems are
increasing day by day so to control those problems its
necessary that the government should make BRTS project
as soon as possible so that all the common public those
who are travelling from public transport will feel convent
in travelling .
Vehicular Growth and Modal Split:-As we see that now a
day everyone is having their own vehicle with them so
because of that many of the population use their medium
of transport which is creating problem for the common
public as the roads are blocked and buses can’t travel
freely so if this project is being completed so everyone will
be benefited.
Limited Road Network:-In India everything depends upon
on public transport so if these things will be improved so
everyone will reach on time everywhere and all work will
be completed on time and no delaying of anything takes
place.
Traffic injuries and fatalities:-In India every now then
accidents are taking place everywhere so to control these
accidents the government are making BRTS project so
according to these project accidents will be reduced and
everyone will be safe in this way.
Lack of Parking Place:-As now a days on every streets
there are small markets so it’s difficult for the buses to
drive on that road and because of that traffic gets jam and
these things happen because of improper planning and
facilities of the government.
Traffic Congestion:-according to this BRTS project the
traffic will be controlled and no one gets disturbed and all
the VIP will reach everywhere on time and because of that
no common public have to wait and no incontinence will
be caused to common public.



IMPORTANCE:-

If This BRTS Project will get success after its completion
so everyone will be relaxed because no one has to wait for
long time. As the public transport will be going from the
corridors which are being in progress so there will be no
accidents no traffic jam and VIP will not be disturbed and
this bus will leave the passengers on their place so these
are the importance of the BRTS project .
Capital investment figures and sources of funding of
the Project.

Capital investment figure of BRTS project is Rs 121 CR
and second instalment for this project has been sanctioned
that is Rs 171 CR.

Sources of funding the BRTS project:-Government of
India and Madhya Pradesh and World Bank. Chandra
mauli shukla.


Progress status (in general stages-wise if possible).

Progress status:- Indore: The 14 km-long proposed Indore
BRTS project worth Rs 140 crore would be ready by
September this year, Madhya Pradesh Minister for
Panchayati Raj Gopal Bhargawa made an announcement
here on Saturday.

All the existing encroachments, including the religious
structures, would be removed after public consensus, the
minister added.

Bhargawa, who is also minister in-charge of Indore
district, admitted that the project got delayed for the last
six years.

"A high-level meeting with district administration, public
representatives and local religious leaders will be
convened over the removal of religious structures from the
BRTS route. This would facilitate completion of the BRTS
project," he said. The minister added that the government
plans to construct cement roads in the villages of the state.
