Teaching Activities of the fourth of July to Russian students that just arrived to the United States, ages
10 to 19, 15 in total .8 males and 7 females. They are all mildly to severe vision impaired.
A-Analyze learners
Russian Students that are mildly to severe vision impaired- ages 10 to 19, & 15 (8 males and 7
females)
S- State Objectives
Students will listen and discuss what they heard from the YouTube videos and an audio tape of
activities during the fourth of July within one day at 100% participation.
S- Select Methods, Media and Materials
Methods- group discussion of what they heard
Media-YouTube video of fireworks to resemble the sound of guns and cannons being fired, it
will also include sounds of families having a cookout and the National Anthem being played.
Materials- Internet access, computer, tape recorder
U- Utilize Media and Materials

At the end of the tapes I will give students hot dogs and hamburgers to let them taste what is
being served during a cook out. (Fun)
R- Require Learner Participation
The students will discuss what they have heard in front of their classmates.
E- Evaluate and Revise
Every student should participate and listen to the YouTube videos and the audio tape as well as
discuss what they heard. At the end enjoy refreshments and food.
