My 11th grade class consisting of 5 boys and 6 girls from various ethnic backgrounds will learn about trigonometric graphs of sine, cosine, and tangent functions using the online graphing calculator Desmos.com. Students will graph functions on Desmos.com and copy the graphs onto paper to understand the shapes while reviewing translations from Algebra. The teacher will project Desmos.com using the SmartBoard and require student participation by asking for examples to graph and translations. Students will be evaluated through a worksheet with 3 questions to be completed before the end of class.

Analyze the Learner
My students will learn trig graphs. I will be teaching this to my 11th grade class consisting of five
boys and six girls. Consisting of two African Americans, five Americans and four Russians.
State Objective
My students are going to learn the Sin graph and the Cos graph and the tan graph. They will be
using an online calculator to understand the shape of the two graphs. Also they will be copying the
graph down on graphing paper. With a eighty-eight percent of the class knowing and understanding.
Select media methods and materials
My students will be using Desmos.com to graph to the functions. They will also be copying the
graphs down on graphing paper. We will be going over translations, which they should have learned in
Algebra.
Utilize Media and Materials
We will be using the SmartBoard to project the graphing wedsite, Desmos.com. As we are
playing around with the website they will be copying some graphs down on graphing paper. My students
will be seeing and drawing many graphs.
Require the Learners Participation
I will be asking for exapmples to type in for the graph creator to create. I will also be asking for
translations. As a class we will be making our own graphs.
Evaluation and Revise
The evaluation for the day Will be a worksheet with three questions they must answer these
questions for before class is over.
