The AVG Rescue CD is a standalone tool that contains antivirus software and can be booted from a CD or USB flash drive. It allows users to scan their computer for viruses when the operating system will not boot properly or is infected. The Rescue CD contains its own Linux operating system and preinstalled AVG software. It can be used to recover infected computers that cannot operate normally by scanning and removing viruses outside of the normal operating system environment.

Introduction T he AVG Rescue CD is a standalone set of tools that can be started from CD or USB flash disk. It can be used to recover computers that are not able to boot or are infected in a way that will not allow normal operation. The whole CD or USB flash drive is a live CD with Linux operating system and AVG preinstalled on it.
