Academic Projects and Internships University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ Data Visualization: Created a map-like visualization using d3.js and javascript to represent health care data of order of 100,000 entries. Cloud Computing: Created python scripts to launch Amazon EC2 instances in order to automate the grading of students where the input was a list of private AMI-IDs and output was a file listing Public DNS of every instance launched by script. Cloud Computing: Explored the scope of being able to merge more than one cloud service provider in the common app. Implementation included instant auto-compression of files uploaded on dropbox. Computer Security: Implemented a chat program using a hybrid protocol to set up encrypted com- munication. The encryption technique used was RSA and DES, code for which was written in JAVA from scratch. Operating Systems: Modification of open-source, distributed database KairosDB to make it compatible with Cassandra so that the other teams working on Nagios, Cassandra and Swift can work within the same ecosystem. Computer Networks: Software Router with Dynamic Routing Developed a software router capable of performing basic ARP, ICMP and IP forwarding functions as per RFC specifications using C language. Computer Networks: Proposed and demonstrated the idea of mis-router that enhances the routing performance by suggesting alternate paths, hence reducing the chances of loops. Demonstration was based on objects created in C language.
