INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROJECT
Aspect Comments
Need for
the project
• Pronounced skill gap both in terms of quality
and quantity in workforce for manufacturing
sector
• Current options for skill training for youth are
either too expensive, too time-consuming or
not-effective
Our
proposed
solution
• Offer short-term (1-3 month) job-oriented,
practical-focused training courses, in
industrial clusters
• Collaborate with industry to offer part-time/on-
the-job training and upskilling courses
Status
• Currently being offered from our centre in
Bhiwadi, Rajasthan; plans to expand to other
industrial regions

DOMESTIC AND HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT (DHA) TRAINING & PLACEMENT
Aspect Comments
Need for
the
project
• Households in urban India struggle to get
quality domestic help
• Domestic workers find it challenging to get
appropriate wages, benefits that should be
available to any worker
Our
proposed
solution
• Offer placement services to households by
tapping our database of domestic workers
(with backgrounds, documentation
checked)
• Offer upskilling training to existing
households and also institutional clients
(such as housekeeping companies)
Status
• Currently being offered in Delhi-NCR
region; plans to expand to other cities

RURAL OPTICIAN TRAINING PROJECT
Aspect Comments
Need for the
project
• People in rural areas (especially the elderly)
suffer from lack of access to basic eye-care,
resulting in vision problems
Our
proposed
solution
• Identify and train rural youth as ‘Rural
Opticians’
• Post training, support them in setting up a
small business providing refraction services
in rural areas
• Essilor to support with starter tool-kit,
dealership and ongoing supplies; B-ABLE to
support with entrepreneurial training, shop
registration etc.
Status
• Have completed 4 batches in existing
centres under Essilor tie-up, plan to setup
more centres over the next 3 years
