It is made in China. Its a ACER. -It has a screen, a keyboard, a mouse and a camera. -I use it to connect to the Internet to search data and information, to check and send emails, to read books, to write programs and to prepare slides for my lectures or presentation. -I also use it for entertainment such as watching videos or movies, listening to music, playing games and chatting with my friends in my free time -I use it every day both at work and at home -It is very important because it helps me a lot in my study entertainment as well. With it, I could save a lot of time and energy. B. Im going to tell you about my laptop which helps me a lot in my study. Its a Sony Vaio. Its black, thin and light. - I bought it in Tran Anh Computer Supermarket last year. I love it very much because it can help me to complete my assignments and to learn English online. I also use it to download data from the Internet. Moreover, I sometimes use it to exchange information with my classmates and teachers; especially it helps me to design new ammunition and weapon in my work. Therefore, I use it nearly every day. - Beside that, it is also a good source of entertainment: I use it to play games, to listen to music, to watch movies and to chat with my friends online in my free time. - In short, it is so important to me that I cant imagine my life without it. Describe an electronic gadget you like to use A. -The electronic gadget I really like to use is a mobile phone. Now I am having a Nokia mobile. -It is shaped like a small and thin box. It has a tiny screen, a keyboard with numbers and letters, some function buttons as well. Furthermore, it is not expensive at all -I always carry it with me and use it most of the time in a day -It is very useful to me. It helps me to contact with everyone, to connect the Internet, to take photos and to record voice. It also functions as a small computer. I usually use it to check and send emails, to chat with my friends and to entertain myself with music and movies online. B. Like other people, I also have a cell phone. It is a Nokia modern X2-01. - It is made in China. It is grey. I find it very useful in my life. -It helps me to keep in touch with my friends, my family, and my business partners as well. For my work, I usually use it to check and send emails and to search data and news. -In addition, it also helps me to ease my stress from work. It entertains me with games, movies, music and stories online. - In short, I like it very much because it makes my life more comfortable. I think cell phone will be popular in the future, especially smart phones.

WRITING Task 1 Last month you and your family moved to a new house in another town You are writing a letter to an English-speaking friend to tell him/ her about your new house, neighbors, and the area. A. Dear Kate, We finally moved house last month and now life has changed. Our new house is located in a quiet area which is in the suburb of Hanoi. Its a three-storeyhouse surrounded by a beautiful garden. My mother even started growing some kinds of vegetables there. We can now enjoy fresh air and sometimes bird singing every morning. Once you enter the house, you may be interestedin our big sitting room. Every day, after dinner, we often gather to talk about our days events there. Our neighbors are also very friendly and kind. They helped us a lot when we first moved here. They even offeredus some kinds of local food. The area is quite convenient because it is only about 5 km from a local market and some schools. We finally moved house last month and now our life has changed. The house we are living in is situated in the suburb of Hanoi, within 30 minutes drive off the city center. It consists of four bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen. The living room, which is rather large, is decorated with nice pictures on the walls. There, at the weekends, my father usually spends time playing chess or drinking tea with our new neighbors. All of them are very friendly, they have helped family so much since we moved here. One more thing, we really enjoy pleasant and fresh air here. I hope... Task 2 You are on holiday with some friends. Write a letter to an English-speaking friend about two things you have done and mention something unpleasant which happened a few days ago. Dear... We arrived here five days ago. In the early morning , we got here by bus from Ho Chi Minh city. On the way to Vung Tau resort, we met a lot of our friends, who also went there to escape from the terrible heat of a crowded city. We reached Vung Tau beach only to find that it had been packed with people. Although the beach was crammed with people, we still felt more relaxed by the fresh morning air coming in from the open sea. When we went to the seaside, we could not resist the temptation of taking off our clothes, putting on our swimming costumes and then plunged into the sea. After we stopped swimming, we dug sand to search for little crabs. Unluckily, I had a minor accident when I caught a crab. My finger bled with a deep wound. However, I had a happy holiday there, which Ill never forget. I hope.........
