Baked Saffron Rice Pudding

Ingredients


    1 cup basmati
         rice
                    2 cups water




                              村 cup apple 遜 cup
   1 tsp saffron                                           1 cup    遜 tsp
                              juice       condensed
                                                           dry      orange
                                          milk
                                                           fruits   essence
                                                 遜 tsp
                                                           mix
                                                 vanilla
                                                 essence
Preparation




 Pre-heat oven at 200 deg C for 10 minutes
 Pour 2 cups water for 1 cup rice in a container with sufficient
space for the water to steam
 Cover up the container with aluminum foil as shown in the
picture
 Bake in a oven at 200 deg Centigrade
Preparation




 Cook rice in the oven for 40 minutes
The cooked rice will look as shown in the
picture. It will be fluffy and separate grains
will be seen.
Preparation




Shift the rice into a square casserole dish and add the
apple juice, condensed milk, saffron( melted in a tbsp
of water), dry fruits and both the essences.
Preparation




Wrap up casserole dish with foil paper and bake in oven
      at 180 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes.
The Prepared Dish




Remove casserole dish from oven after switching off the
appliance and when it is safe to handle the casserole.
Remove the foil to find the sweet rice pudding casserole
which looks like in the above picture.
Serving
Enjoy the baked rice casserole dish as a dessert. It is a delightful
alternative to the conventional Payesh.
