Baldwins Kick Start 2013 - Midlands Youth Entrepreneur Award
About the award
Baldwins Kick Start is an annual award program for young entrepreneurs who have a good idea and
would like to start their own business but need that financial Kick Start to get up and running.
Whats the prize?
As one of the Midlands largest independent firms of accountants, Baldwins Accountants is offering
one young entrepreneur a 贈10,000 financial assistance award along with a further 贈10,000 prize in
advice, accountancy and mentoring fees over a two year period to assist with getting their business
idea up and running. Two other finalists will each receive 贈5,000 worth of advice, accountancy and
mentoring fees over a one year period.
Who can apply?
The award is open to any young person between the ages of 18-25 with either an idea and a business
plan but are yet to start trading, or a newly founded start-up businesses where trading commenced on
or after 1st January 2013.
How do you apply?
The award is open to young people who have the enthusiasm and drive to back their idea and make a
success of their business. The awards contest will be open for applications from 1st July 2013 and
applicants will need to complete the online form and submit their business plan via the Baldwins
Accountants website. Applications close at midnight on 30th September 2013.

 10 successful applicants will be invited into stage two which will involve an interview with the
judging panel.
 Finals night is 21st
November 2013, where three finalists will get the opportunity to present their
business plans to an invited audience at a gala dinner before the announcement of the winner.
Competition Rules
 Entrants must be aged 18-25 on 1st
July 2013.
 Entrants must be eligible to work within the UK.
 All entrants must reside, and all businesses operate, within the Midlands region.
 Entry is open to applicants who are yet to commence trading or commenced trading on or after 1st
January 2013.
