Bale processors are manufactured in factories using mostly steel and rubber raw materials. They are tested for safety by field testing which involves putting bales of hay or straw into the processor to ensure it can safely process agricultural materials. The main use of bale processors is for feeding cattle on farms by processing bales of hay or straw into smaller pieces. Any waste created during the manufacturing process is recycled with no waste products being disposed of.
