In his farewell address, Barack Obama reflected on his achievements as president including marriage equality, Obamacare, and promoting solidarity in democracy. He expressed gratitude toward his wife and children for their support as well as his friendship with Vice President Biden and his wife Jill. Barack Obama's Farewell Address
1. BARACK OBAMAS FAREWELL ADDRESS
Chicago, January 10th, 2017
Of course, I watched Barack Obamas Farewell Address. I must confess I missed the passion
of his earlier speeches, the rhetoric la Martin Luther King.
He of course spoke about his achievements: Marriage equality, Obamacare that has 20 million
Americans covered, and so on.
He also said that Democracy requires a basic sense of solidarity.
But what best will remain in my memory are those emotional moments of Mr. Obamas
Farewell Address: his love and gratitude declaration to his wife and to his children, and his
great friendship declaration to Vice President Jo Biden and his wife Jill.
And his Honor and Happiness to have served the American People, reminding them that
Democracy and the future of America lay in their hands.
