Basant Panchami was celebrated on February 15th, 2013 at the institute. The day began with a Saraswati pooja ceremony that lasted two and a half hours. This was followed by rangoli and face painting competitions for students and faculty. Winners received prizes from the Vice President and Director. In the afternoon, a kite flying competition was held with 16 teams participating, including two professors. The Hon'ble Vice President's team won the competition.

- 1. BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATIONS 15th February2013 Basant Panchami was celebrated on 15th February2013. The day started off with Saraswati pooja in the morning which lasted for around two and a half hours with all the teaching, non-teaching members and students present during the pooja. The pooja was performed so religiously with minutest details and with loud chanting of Sanskrit slokas by Panditji that it engrossed the entire audience present there. At the end of the Pooja, Havan was performed where all present gave AHUTI. Lastly Arti was done with every one singing the Artis and thus participating with whole soul and heart. The Havan was followed by Rangoli competition and Face painting competition. The Rangoli competition was open for both students and faculty and they participated with full enthusiasm. The participants made beautiful rangolis with an array of different materials. It was a very colourful event which both the audience and the participants enjoyed thoroughly. In the face competition, we got to see innovativeness and creativity amongst the student participants. The winners were given prizes by the Honble Vice President and Director. They were very pleased to see the talent of the students and encouraged them to participate in these kinds of activities in large number. The day ended with kite flying competition organized in the afternoon where 16 teams participated. The crowd cheered when they saw Prof. B.N.Roy and Prof. Sahjwani participating in the kite flying competition. The event was filled with lot of enthusiasm and thrill. The kites were flown and interesting kite fights took place and finally the participant whose kite was flying high till the end after cutting the maximum number of kites became the winner of the competition. The prize distribution ceremony was held in the evening with Honble Vice Presidents team winning the competition. He congratulated the other winners and participants and announced that such activities will continue to be organized in the Institute in future also.
- 2. The winners of the Rangoli competition were : 1st Prize : Anandiya, Akanksha and Divyanshi 2nd Prize : Sugandha, Kriti and Shivangi (CS 2nd yr) (CS 2nd yr)
- 3. Consolation Prize was given to the faculty members : Ms. Shikha Dubey, Ms.Seema and Ms. Anjali Singh (faculty (CS)) The winners of the Face competition were : 1st Prize : Anirudh Saxena, CS 2nd yr) 2nd Prize : Veronica, MBA
- 4. The day ended with kite flying competition and the winners were : . 1st Prize : Prof. B.N.Roy and Prof. H.K.Shajwani 2nd Prize : Mohd. Zafar and Rajender Prasad (Pharmacy) 3rd prize : Naman, Mohd. Intkalab (Civil Engg. 2 nd yr)
