Basic Information Quick Biography, Jerry Hernandez (Paco) I have been in the semi-conductor community for the past 30 years. My back ground is in the field of Mechanical Engineering in Liquid transfer and Hydraulic movement. Im well established in the semi-conductor and solar communities. I have 8 years in high purity water systems such as Reverse Osmosis Units to Deionization System. 12 years in chemical processing units from Chemical Dispense Cabinets to Solvent Delivery Systems. 8 years of experience in solar processing and several years in waste water recovery units. Ive engineered, designed, and developed equipment for every phase of a semi-conductor wafer. I am one of the pioneers in the use of PVDF in high purity water systems, 1981. Ive engineered and developed chemical management systems for most chip manufacturers. Ive engineered wet bench systems for wafer processing and cleaning. Ive designed and build chemical recovery units and AWN (Acid Waste Neutralization) systems. Helped in engineering one of the largest waste recovery systems in the east coast for Big Blue utilizing coagulants and flocculants. Helped the Navy in the field of GPS positioning systems for missile accuracy. I have experiences in the designing of medical equipment for one of the largest medical tool manufacturers in the United States. Working with Exergy, Ive designed and built EthorCEL units for Seagate. Im well knowledgeable in compliances in SEMI and Factory Mutual (FM) REFERENCES: Applications Engineer Celerity, Scott Squires(Manufacturing Engineering Manager at FMC Technologies) Manufacturing Engineering Manager Jerry (Paco) and I worked together at Celerity on what were at the time cutting edge products both from the aspect of technical complexity and the business plan for capitalizing on the product. Jerry provided technical insight to the design process that improved both the design and the manufacturing cost of the product. His in-depth knowledge of the design process and the design tools coupled with his ability to maintain a sense of hummer during crunch time made working with Jerry. Since leaving ES, we have continued to work together on other design projects. I have not encountered many mechanical engineers who can have a tool half designed by the time we leave an initial customer meeting but that is one resource he consistently brings to the table.
