This is a schematic depiction of the battle of Unnumbered Tears, during The First Age of Middle Earth. It was suppose to be a set piece battle to win back The Jewels stolen by Morgoth and to free the continent of Beleriand. The War of Wraith was the final battle which finally overthrew Morgoth, and change the continent forever, physically.

Dagor Nirnaeth Arnoediad 1 This is a depiction of the battle described in The Silmarillion, The Fifth Battle. It would have been the crowning achievement of Maedhros offensive plan against Morgoth. It never came to fruition, because: 1. Morgoth had already sent spies amongst the Elders 2. The element of surprise was lost 3. Part of the Eldar forces, Nargothrond, were destroy before actual battle 4.
