• The evolution of the information technology industry over the past few decades – has witnessed the departure
of the industry from some of the basics in engineering

• The oft heard statement – “software engineering is not like other engineering disciplines” - has given the
freedom to the industry to ignore the basics of engineering principles which has resulted in poor quality products,
tremendous budget overruns, and worst, rework has become an acceptable practice

• Any product development fundamentally needs an engineering design foundation – unfortunately
fundamental concepts in computer science and core software technology basics have been ignored

• Being compliant with processes and getting quality certifications (like CMMI) is fashionable – though these
contribute little to the true quality of the end product that is being delivered to the customers – since process

Objective To design and develop an Automated Revenue Tracking platform which integrated
seamlessly with
