Editor's Notes

  • #3: Make students read the conversation and ask them what it is... Then introduce the topic of ‘greetings’
  • #4: Ask students to introduce themselves. They can talk about their family, friends, and their hobbies.
  • #5: Let the students read the sample introduction and ask them to prepare a simple intro of theirs and give presentation also. Before giving presentation make them feel at ease and confident...
  • #6: Tell students that we use Good morning/good afternoon/good evening when we meet people... Not when we part with them...
  • #13: How to part with someone? (some phrases to use while parting with someone) Good bye. Bye. I will say good bye. See you later. See you on Monday. See you soon. I must go now. I (really) must be going. I must be off. I am afraid I have go to go. It is getting (very/rather) late. I will miss my bus/metro/flight. I have got some things to prepare for... (have got or have) I have got a lot of word to do this evening/afternoon/today. I want to get away before the traffic gets too bad. I have enjoyed being with you. It has been interesting talking to you. It has been very useful interaction with you. Thanks for everything you have done. Thank you for being with me. Thank you for staying with us. Thank you for all your help.
