Bekal Fort is a historic fort located in Kasaragod district of Kerala. It is spread over 40 acres and was constructed in 1650 AD by Shivappa Nayaka of Bednore. The fort overlooks the Arabian Sea and has remnants from the rule of Tipu Sultan and the British East India Company. Today, Bekal Fort is a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beaches, crashing waves, and the well-preserved fort that tells the tale of the region's history.
