The Benito Library and MakerSpace offers after school programs focused on 3D printing, computer coding, electronics, and robotics using equipment like a MakerBot Replicator Mini, Autodesk Project Ignite, LEGO Mindstorms, and Raspberry Pi. In its first year from 2014-2015 it had 40-60 students per week participating in MakerSpace meetings to learn skills or work on independent projects, culminating in its own MakerFaire. It is now starting its second year and looking to build on the success of the first year.

YEAR 1: 2014-2015
YEAR 2: 2015-2016
We began in September 2014 with after school MakerSpace
meetings on Monday after school for one hour. We had 40-
60 students all year long at our MakerSpace meetings. First
semester, we worked with the students. Second semester,
we let the kids choose projects and work on them all
semester. We ended with our own MakerFaire.
Excited for year two. Starting our year off at the Orlando
MakerFaire by exhibiting our projects from year one.
Looking to make year two even more exciting.
