To me there occur two questions
I would like to ask you as my doctor.
Is there evident research on
the effectiveness of different antibiotics
and their concentrations including Doxycycline
to eradicate different genospecies of
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato?
&
How to get a constant and significant
influence on the persisting symptoms?
18. Sheet 18
The answer to the first question is yes:
The Dissertation of Dr. Martin Sicklinger
analyses the in-vitro-sensitivity of
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato
against four different Antibiotics.
A comparison of genospecies
Borrelia afzelii,
Borrelia garinii and
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto.
University of Munich 2006
19. Sheet 19
Abstract of this Dissertation
Amoxicillin was especially effective against Borrelia
burgdorferi sensu stricto,
Azithromycin showed very good results against
Borrelia garinii,
while Borrelia afzelii reacted very sensitive to
Ceftriaxon.
Doxycycline showed evidently worse results in this
in-vitro-test and on top of that the highest range of
clusters in the test results.

The answer to the second question is still open.
Please give me advise about the next steps of treatment.

It would be helpful if you could send a short letter of advice.
