the client
About the project The primary objective for the Non-Cards SB group is to provide rapid
technology Solutions when a traditional IT solution is either not required
or cannot be achieved within the timeframe mandated by business
needs. Our team supports all lines of business, including Cards (Private
Label / FDR only), CFNA/One Main, UCCB and REL. The technology
framework we operate within consists of primarily SAS and SQL code
executed in a Unix environment, though we do have a small mainframe
application that is still supported by our group.
Project requests are received via a CCR project request. Once captured
in that system the requests are routed to the CCLM repository where
they are tracked during the project life cycle. Project status is updated
routinely on that site where upper management in the Collections COE
3. can view them. Simultaneously projects will have corresponding
Planview requests and support tickets opened for tracking hours spent
and for managing all required project artifacts during its lifecycle.
Our products are delivered to our customer base using several methods,
including NDM and SFT data transfers, SharePoint repositories loaded
via SMTP transfers (email) and externally to vendors using CitiSFT via
SFTP. The vendors we interface with today include Soundbite, ORCC,
Venture, Convergys and Sapient.
The team includes 3 in Offshore and 5 at onsite.
The technologies used for the Project are SAS, Oracle, SQL Server,

the client
About the project The prime objective of Solutions Bridging production support team is to
offer quick solutions unlike any normal development team. The team
includes 4 in Offshore and 1 at onsite.
The primary function of the Leveraged Solutions Bridging Production
Support team is to identify any production issues and work those issues
through to resolution. The issues should be resolved within a 24 hour
period for processes running daily. Those processes running less
frequently would generally need to be dealt with in 24 to 48 hours
depending on the job in question.
Notifications are received when jobs fail for any reason but can also be
triggered by non-fatal issues that should be investigated. LSB has two
means of receiving notifications for job failures/alerts. The first
notification is usually via an automated email. The second means of
notification is via the command center. Often both notifications are
delivered but not always.
UNIX script errors are generally trapped by Maestro. Maestro has a web
tool that can be used to view any error messages trapped from an

Period Since July 2009 to June 2010
Position Team Member
Line of business Credit Cards, Banking
About the project The goal of the initiative is to produce a number of data extracts
from the BACARDI database which will be fed to the IAF -
COLLECTIONS platform by way of the JMS subsystem. The
programming language used to produce these extracts will be
SAS.
In addition to the daily scheduled extracts and transfers, a one-time
full extract for each feed will need to be produced in order to
initialize the IAF - COLLECTIONS platform. The SAS extract
programs should be written such that they can produce either this
full extract, or the normal nightly delta feed based on a passed
parameter

Position Team Member
Line of Business Retail
About the Project The Metered Sample Hub (MSH) is the corporate HUB for the Metered
Sample data that is collected through the MSM application. The Metered
Sample Hub archives household and persons characteristics for metered
samples. MSH replicates data from MSM and A/P Collection Facility
systems to its stage database throughout the day. It also serves as a
history database for the A/P Collection Facility. The MSH close process,
every day, transfers the replicated data to the elemental database in MSH
HUB. MSH transforms some of the data to the legacy Descriptor Control
Database (DCDB) format for Active Passive and Mark II metering
technologies. The transformed data is stored in MSH Summary and
loaded to the DCDB. The Elemental data is used to serve MSH clients
such as MVD, IVA, Tracking, ELDB, FMDS, NDDS, National (NPower),
