BILB BILGWhich book would you rather be seen reading in public?
Some companies don’t care much about problems like these:You’re better than that. I can help you show it.
What is BILB?Poor design work – cartoony colors, overused fonts, lame clip art, outdated look, elements in illogical places.Poor spelling and grammar – misplaced apostrophes, inappropriate capitalization, switched homonyms (for example, “principal” when you mean “principle”).Too much “stuff” (text and photos) in too little space. This adds up to BILB – Because It Looks Bad. What happens Because It Looks Bad? You look unprofessional and untrustworthy.
What is BILG?Great design work – clean, crisp, contemporary without being too trendy, well-balanced in colors and elements.Great spelling and grammar – the desired readers will know exactly what you mean.Your intention of the work is clear as a cloudless sky. This adds up to BILG – Because It Looks Good. What happens Because It Looks Good? You look like the cream of the crop, and people will get excited about working with you and your company.
How I helped companies with BILGI have redesigned and cleaned up medical forms, including case report forms for Integrium (a contract research organization), and this new patient form for District Eye Care.
How I helped companies with BILGI developed promotional newsletters that served as profitable information products for Platinum Properties, a real estate investing company.
How I helped companies with BILGI design book covers and interiors for a variety of markets.
BILG looks better, doesn’t it?To many people, perception is reality. A great company (or individual) with great ideas, but with poor visual/printed materials, is less likely to get heard than a less gifted company/individual with great visual/printed materials. The power of BILG is immeasurable. I can give you that power.Let’s work together.Jennie Brown Hakimjennie@jenniebrownhakim.comwww.jenniebrownhakim.com
