Bill Effinger has over 60 years of experience in real estate development in Southern California. From 1950-1958, he worked as a general contractor and framing subcontractor in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Orange County. Some of his major development projects as a chief executive or owner-developer include Community Plaza condominiums in Long Beach in 1962, Rancho Valencia apartments and duplexes in Garden Grove in 1965, and numerous housing developments in San Diego from 1970-1983 as president of Shapell Industries and W.R. Effinger & Company. He has pioneered concepts like mini-condominiums and has consulted on development projects across several states.
