Rebecca Hay is an Ojibwe spiritual advisor, healer, and pipe carrier from Curvelake First Nation who has over 30 years experience as a traditional counselor. She runs workshops on topics like suicide prevention, sexual abuse awareness, and grief and loss. She has also provided cultural support and done cultural sensitivity training for various organizations. Her passion is building strong Indigenous communities through healthy living. She is also a Reiki master, coach, doula, and licensed in Danielle Laporte's Desire Mapping program.

1. Hello my name is Rebecca Hay (Lightening Rattle Woman). I am Ojibwe from Curvelake First
Nation. I am a traditional spiritual advisor, healer, and pipe carrier. I have been a traditional
counselor for almost 30 years and I am a registered social worker this has allowed me to run
workshops that include suicide prevention, sexual abuse awareness, and grief and loss, I also run
healing, sharing, and teaching circles. I have been Cultural Support for our Elders, Brothers and
Sisters for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings in Victoria and Vancouver B.C. I
have done cultural sensitivity training for Vancouver Island Heath Authority (VIHA) the RCMP
and the local police forces here on Vancouver Island as well as numerous ministry for BC
government. I have also worked in Calgary Corrections, Schools, Transition houses, Treatment
centers. My passion is working with our people to build strong community through healthy
living.
I have been a Reiki master for 19 years and a practitioner for 24 years now. I have taught across
Canada and through the United States. I have certification in restorative justice and aboriginal
coaching. I am a Doula and recently I have become a licensee for Danielle Laporte's Desire
Mapping.
