Sheku Mohamed Kallon Jr was born in Bo Town, Sierra Leone and moved to Freetown as a child with his parents. He attended primary and secondary school in Freetown before immigrating to the US for college. Kallon has over 22 years of experience in business and technology, working for major companies. He now runs his own consulting practice. Kallon also has extensive experience in civic and volunteer roles working with non-profits in Sierra Leone and the US. He is seeking the position of Flagbearer of the Sierra Leone People's Party and believes his authentic, committed leadership and experience make him the best candidate.

1 Who is Sheku Mohamed Kallon Jr? Sheku Mohamed Kallon Jr was born in Bo Town, Bo District to Sheku Mohamed Kallon Sr and Theresa Satta Kallon both of whom hail from the Kallon/Magona ruling house in Barri Chiefdom and the Koroma ruling house of Pejeh Chiefdom respectively in Pujehun District in the South of Sierra Leone. Shekus father worked for the Sierra Leone National Airlines while his mother stayed at home but also bought and sold food products from their chiefdom as well as clothes and Avon products bought from overseas to help support her husband in raising the children. At the age of 4, Sheku M Kallon Jr, moved with his parents to Freetown, Sierra Leone since his fathers employer Sierra Leone National Airlines relocated him to the company headquarters. He lived with his parents, siblings and other family members on Old Blackhall Road, Soldier Street, Waterloo Street, Circular Road and Kissy Road. The family moved around in search of a more convenient living environment, safety and commute to and from school, work and business as tenants in the Western Area. In Freetown, Sheku M Kallon Jr attended Cathedral Boys primary school and upon successful completion of the Selective Entrance Exams, he then attended the Albert Academy in 1979. He successfully sat to the General Certificate Examinations in 1984 at the Albert Academy before immigrating to Boston, Massachusetts on a student visa to attend the Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown. Sheku M Kallon Jr is the oldest son and second child with 6 other siblings of Sheku and Theresa Kallon Sr. The elder sister Hawa and following Sheku Jr are Sombo, Miatta, Fatoma, Fatmata and Satta Jr. Sheku M Kallon Jr is married to Husainatu Kallon Sall and over the last 18 years have been blessed with three children; Hawa, Mustapha and Jarai. Sheku has three other children; Satta, Jahmina

Sheku M Kallon Jr and his family currently live in Georgia, USA and for the past 3 years he has commuted to Ghana and Sierra Leone for work and business where they also maintain residency. The family has also resided in Bowie, Maryland and Birmingham, Alabama in the US in support of Shekus career requirements. Private SectorAs a business and technology consultant for the past 19 years Sheku M Kallon Jr has worked with and provided consulting services to global multi-national companies such as Shell, British Petroleum, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Bank of America, PNC Bank, SunTrust, Best Buy, The Sports Authority and others. Public SectorHe has worked with and provided consulting services to the US Department of Education, Ministry of Finance in Ghana, and Abuja Technology Village in Nigeria. He also had several consultations over the past three years with the Office of the Chief of Staff in Sierra Leone, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Telecommunication, Sierra Leone Parliament and NASSIT. He is currently managing his own consulting practice and in discussions with Public and Private Sector entities to provide solutions for several challenges they face. He was a team player and led the North American Regions communications team in designing and building the first integrated communications infrastructure with websites for the National Party, North America and the United Kingdom. He introduced other communication tools such as Ciscos WebEx and Big Marker to assist in facilitating communication. His communications team also embarked on regular radio program discussions with broadcasting stations in Sierra Leone that included several members of the North American region as well as current and past Executive members of the partys National Executive Council.

President of Sierra Gold Entertainment Inc In his capacity as President of Sierra Gold Entertainment Inc, Sheku in partnership with his brother have used their own resources and skills in technology to find efficient ways to market and distribute music for Sierra Leonean and other African Inspired music, movies, theater and arts. 90 percent of the marketing and promotion they do for others are pro-bono but also providing a source of income not only for some of the artists but directly employs a few in the digital and social media space. Publisher of The New People Online Inc - In his capacity as Publisher of the New People Online Inc, which has been in operation since 1996, Sheku has partnered over the years with several individuals to successfully source and report on news and opinion articles impacting Sierra Leoneans, other Africans and many others with an interest in Africa. He has also used his own resources and expertise in technology to keep the New People Online relevant with the disruptive trends affecting the news media industry.
