Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany in 1879 and developed the special and general theories of relativity. He attended the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich after failing to graduate high school in Germany. Einstein later taught at the University of Berlin and won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922 for his work on the photoelectric effect. He spent his later years teaching at Princeton University, working on developing a unified field theory until his death.
