Biology test review
Eukaryotes have a nucleus

Protein transport materials across plasma membrane

Function of nucleus: Contains the information needed to make protein, also stores DNA
and, directs activities of a cell

Lysosomes break down macromolecules

Mitochondrian release energy to power a cell

Cell theory: 1) Cells basic units of life 2) All living things are made of cells 3) All cells
    reproduce

There are only 2 things in a plant cell (not in animal)= A cell wall and it's chloroplast

Prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus

A plasma membrane regulates what goes in and out of a cell f/ ex. Bodygaurd and/or
    bouncer

Transport requiring energy= Active transport

Ribosomes make proteins

Centromirror (Sister chromotids) (Located in the middle)

During metahase chromosomes line up in the middle of a cell, miosis leaves you with
   haploid cells

Cells do not grow during the G2 phase

Gametes are produced by/during the phase of miosis

Genes crossing over (Picture of x's and lines-XXX)

Further apart on a chromosome less likely to be inherited together (genes); Priniciples of
prob= Predict offspring (punnet sq.);-Black and white=Blue=Intermediate inheritance;-
Variation of human skin color is due to polygenic inheritance;-Offspring of true
    breeders=Hybrid

Cytoskeleton helps move things in a cell

If you take red blood cless and put them in fresh water they will expand, if you put them in
     salt water they will decrease

Rough endo has ribosomes

A nuclear envelope surrounds a nucleus

Homologous chromosomes are two sets of chromosomes found in a body's cell;- Most of
   cell's growth occurs in G2

Hey Kristine, good luck on the test :)
