This document provides guidelines for a group discussion on genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The group is instructed to brainstorm what they already know about GMOs and use that previous knowledge to form an initial opinion. Members are then told to research the internet for sources on the advantages and disadvantages of GMOs. Both good and potentially bad findings should be recorded. Once 2-3 solid sources have been identified, the group should come to a conclusion on whether GMOs should be used in their community garden based on the information gathered. Finally, the group's findings and a short summary of their conclusions are to be posted on Facebook alongside credible source materials.
