• Our status as a young university provides an
opportunity to redefine learning experience of the
students which further enhances our reputation as
the leading private university.
• Hence, Taylor’s adopted a strategic & systematic
approach:
Blended Learning
Face-to-Face Classroom e-Learning Activities
Teaching & Learning Interactions (in and / or outside classrooms)

• Adoption of this new approach requires some
restructuring of current learning environments
and methodologies.
• Taylor’s University’s e-Learning mission
statement is:

• Taylor’s University introduced e-learning technologies

• e-Learning Academy (eLA) was requested to
train academic staff in Taylor’s University.
• Trainings for TIMeS @ Taylor’s are divided into
three (3) levels:
– Basic
– Intermediate
– Advance (beginning year 2013 onwards)

• Total Number of Academic Staff: 503*
• Attended & trained approximately:
– 78.5% (Basic)
– 45.3% (Intermediate).
• Trainings are still currently on-going (based on
needs & requests by faculties).

• Phase 1 of development completed.
– Integration of Rewind @ Taylor’s.

• Phase 2 commences March 2013.
– Further equip Rewind @ Taylor’s to all venues
beginning March 2013 onwards.
– Developmental of more interactive academic
homepage with more interactive features to engage
students & improve learning.
