Golconda Fort in Andhra Pradesh is known for its unique acoustic properties. A hand clap in a certain location below the dome at the fort's entrance can be heard clearly at the highest point in the 'BalaHisar' pavilion, almost a kilometre away. This worked as a warning system for the royals in case of an attack.
