Editor's Notes

  1. RUF depicts the realistic social climate of Sierra Leone in the movie. It is an organization that claims to be working for people and against the existing government.Although they lack a vision to establish a sustainable government for people, they concentrate only on gaining power and controlling the diamond trade. They are rebel without the cause. To support their so called ideology of freedom they recruit children by taking them away from their families and psychologically conditioning them to be fearless soldiers. They incentivized children by promoting them to ranks. Reasons for their directionless atrocities may be lack of leadership and absence of any role model to guide them on ethical paths.Ruthless, thrives on fearUsing diamond trade to fund weaponsPsychologically conditions children into killersRuns on CommunitarianismAction did not match Ideology
