The document discusses the Blue Brain project, which aims to create a virtual human brain through supercomputing. Some key points:
- The Blue Brain project is a collaboration between IBM and EPFL to develop the first virtual brain through simulating the human brain on a supercomputer.
- The goal is to gather all knowledge about the human brain and build a theoretical framework to reconstruct the brain digitally.
- It is believed that within 30 years, nanobots could scan a person's brain and upload the data, essentially digitizing a human mind into a computer.
- Challenges include the need for extremely powerful hardware and software to simulate the complex human brain at its estimated 100 trillion synaptic connections

2. INTRODUCTION
Human brain, the most valuable creation of God.
The man is called intelligent because of the
brain.
But we loss the knowledge from a brain when the
body is destroyed after the death of man.
Is it really possible to create a human brain?

4. BLUE BRAIN
YES", The IBM & EPFL is now developing a virtual
brain known as the BLUE BRAIN.
BLUE BRAIN: It is the name of the worlds first
virtual brain.
Within 30 years, we will be able to scan ourselves
into the computers.

5. VIRTUAL BRAIN
What is a Virtual Brain ?
Virtual brain is an artificial brain.
interface the data stored in the natural brain.
Why we need Virtual Brain ?
Intelligence , knowledge and skill of a person
can be made eternal.
How is it possible ?
By using a supercomputer, with a huge
storage, processing power and interface
between human brain and artificial brain.
Nanobots.

6. EXAMPLE OF BLUE BRAIN
A very good example of utilization of blue brain
is the case "short term memory".
In some movies we might have noticed that a
person might be having short term memories.
7. A another situation is that when a person gets
older, then he starts forgetting or takes a bit
more time to recognize to a person.
For the above reason we need a blue brain. It
is a simple chip that can be installed into the
human brain for which the short term memory
and volatile memory at the old age can be
avoided.
8. COMPONENTS OF HUMAN BRAIN
The Brain consists of three important
sections:
1.Cerebrum : It is responsible for the
control of the body.
2.Cerebellum: It is responsible for
coordination
between the brain and various parts of the
body.
3.Medulla Oblongata: It joins the
brain with spinal cord. It influences
digestive , respiratory and
9. WORKING
Sensory Input :-
Receiving input such as sound ,image, etc
through sensory cell .
Interpretation:-
Interpretation of the received input
by the brain by defining states
of neurons in the brain.
Motor Output:-
Receiving of electric responses
from the brain to perform any action .

11. UPLOADING HUMAN BRAIN
The uploading is possible by the use of small robots
known as the nanobots.
These robots are small enough to travel through out
our circulatory system.
Traveling into the spine and brain, they will be able
to monitor the activity and structure of our central
nervous system.
They will be able to provide an interface with
computer while we still reside in our biological form
.
12. Nanobots could also carefully scan the structure of
our brain, providing a complete readout of the
connection.
This information, when entered into a computer,
could then continue to function as us.
Thus the data stored in the entire brain will be
uploaded into the computer.
13. BLUE BRAIN PROJECT GOALS & OBJECTIVES
It is the first attempt to re-engineer the
mammalian brain.
To gather all knowledge about human brain
To build a complete theoretical framework
that can orchestrate the reconstruction of
brain.
14. APPLICATIONS
We can remember things without any effort.
A novel tool for drug discovery for brain
disorders.
Even after the death of a man his intelligence
can be used.
The activity of different animals can be
understood.
It would allow the deaf to hear via direct
nerve stimulation.
14
15. HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENT
A Super computer.
Memory with a very large storing capacity.
Processor with a very high processing power.
A very wide network.
A program to convert the electric impulses from the brain to input signal,
which is to be received by the computer and vice versa.
very powerful Nanobots to act as the interface between the natural brain
and the computer.
16. Remembering things without any effort.
Making decision without the presence of a person.
Using intelligence of a person after the death .
Understanding the activities of animals .
Allowing the deaf to hear via direct nerve stimulation.
ADVANTAGES
17. DISADVANTAGES
We become dependent upon the computer .
Others may use technical knowledge against us.
Another fear is found with respect to human
cloning.
A very costly procedure of regaining the memory
back.
18. CONCLUSION
We will be able to transfer ourselves into computers
at some point.
It will bring both benefits and harm to human
society.
Despite the sheer complexity, it is predicted that the
project will capable by the year 2023.
