Blurb on Bildungsroman
A blurb (=a short description that praises something such as a book, so that
people will want to buy it.) on my debut fiction.
In the end, we will all become stories. Margaret Atwood
Many stories begin to end; some, end to begin; very few, end to begin and
never to end. Deepak David
Posting/publishing coming February my first bildungsroman (=a novel
concerned with the education, development and maturity of a young
protagonist).
Seeing her pulchritude, he is awestruck and it is coup de foudre (=love at first
sight).Thinking her a bachelors wife (=an ideal woman with none of the
shortcomings of married mans wife) he expresses his love. He is absolutely
twitterpated (=the electrified feeling one gets when the woman of their dreams
has finally become real and has stepped into their life from said dreams) with
his angelic love. Dulcinea(=sweetheart) readies the hope chest(=a young
woman's accumulation of clothes and domestic furnishings (as silver and linen)
kept in anticipation of her marriage).Paranymphs(=groomsmen or
bridesmaids) intend to sing the epithalamion(=a song or poem in honour of
bride or bridegroom).
Father Time ties a Gordian knot (=a complicated and difficult problem)
severing the hearts knit together in love. Boys promises are mistaken as
sphallolalia (=flirtatious talk that leads nowhere)! Then comes a chapter of
accidents (=unforeseen course of events) and finally cr竪ve-c ur俵
(=heartbreak)!
Time flies.
Forlorn, he yearns that she slate cleans(=to allow a person to make a fresh start
in job, relationship, etc by ignoring past mistakes). She thinks he will forget her
with the passage of time. Her absence makes his heart grow fonder. How long
can anyone be fancy-free (=free from the power of love)? Will the retrouvaille
(=the happiness of meeting again after a long time) be the Indian summer(=a
happy or pleasant period near the end of someones life). But he wants the last
hurrah (=any final attempt, competition, performance, success, or the like) to
leave an indelible mark on her.
Come February and peripeteia(=a sudden or unexpected reversal of
circumstances or situation esp. in a literary work.) will unravel a story.
Happy Reading !!!!!!!!
