(1) Coolidge Elementary School aims to improve students' ability to find supporting evidence in texts so that 85% of K-5 students achieve grade-level benchmarks in reading. (2) The school will focus on higher-level comprehension, using evidence from texts to support answers. (3) Initiatives include book rooms, buddy reading, home reading logs, birthday books from the PTO, and reading incentive programs.
