The document describes a sub-orbital reusable vehicle capable of carrying 44 passengers and 4 pilots on short-duration space flights. The vehicle consists of a main structure and passenger pods, with key features including lightweight carbon fiber construction, large windows, and seats designed to withstand lateral forces during ascent and descent. Passengers will experience brief periods of weightlessness and be able to view the exterior surroundings. The document outlines mission details, passenger accommodations, training procedures, and ground operations before and after flight.

4. The Pod
Typical accomodation of 4 Passengers
It is the only pressurized part of the SHIPINSPACE
vehicle
Seat design tailored to extra large people having
seats width of 650 mm against the 450 typical of
an economic class.
Seats are designed in such a way Passengers can
withstand lateral loads (0,5g)
Seats packaging can rotate along the axis normal
to the window
S/Ss volume
(unpressurized)
5. The Pod
The internal configuration (shown in this artistic view) will have COSMO-like internal wall painting with small
led providing a unique suggestion scenario. Passengers will have the impression to be in a continuous media
with the outside view. Mission screen with major parameters will be embedded in a seat packaging arm.
6. View of the Passengers close to the window
The 800 mm
diameter window, 7
times larger than a
wide-body Aircraft
one, will permit an
outstanding view of
outside even for
the 2 Passengers
close to the
window.
During the 6 min of
0-g the
Passengers can
move freely inside
the Module getting
their preferred
outside picture
7. View of the Passengers located far from the hatch port
During the 6 min of 0-g at the top of the Parabolic flight Passengers experience weightlessness in free flying
inside the Pod. An ergonomic study could verify that the space around the Passengers is higher than that of a
business class of a wide-body aircraft
9. Passengers configuration during descent and landing
The loads during
the descent are
normal to this
figure plane.
The Pods in the
2属 floor and in the
middle have only
2 passengers
who experience
loads with the
back normal to
loads (most
optimized
configuration).
The Pods in the
2属 floor on the
right and left side
have loads
perfectly in line
with the back.
All others Pods
have loads with
about 80% of the
load in line with
the back and
20% lateral.
Anti-g suits
and lateral
head stopper
on the seats
will be
enough to
counteract
an about
0.5g lateral
load.
10. The Passengers accomodation during flight
During the 40 min of flight the Passengers can screen on a dedicated monitor the flight data such as altitude,
speed, acceleration ratio.
In case a life risk contingency is detected the Passengers Module can be pyrotechnically cut and the Pods free
from descending independently one another, by means of embedded parachutes. This feature, unique to the
SHIPinSPACE technology could have saved the life of both the Challenger and Columbia teams.
Emergency pyrotechnic cut
11. Mission preparation
Passengers get trained during a 5 sessions trial spread
over a period of 2 years on machines like this centrifuge
to accomodate people the same way as they will be in
the SHIPinSPACE Vehicle.
12. Mission preparation
Passengers experience
the same level of
loads that will
encounter during the
flight.
Maximum
acceleration will be
2.0g during ascent
phase at the end of
the propulsion phase
and 2.5g during
maximum drag along
the descent.
13. Operations after landing
After landing the
Vehicle is tilted
from horizontal
to a vertical
configuration by
means of a
crane mounted
on a mobile
gantry. 2 pivot
points are fixed
on ground on
the Vehicle in
correspndence
of 2 trunnions.
14. Operations after landing
The vertical
configuration is
the most
appropriate to
get in/out of the
Passengers
and to spend
comfortably the
time needed for
the flight
equipment
checks,
Passengers

15. Operations after landing
Operations during
the on/out board
rely on a gantry
having 3
independent floors
with a fixed part and
some mobile
plateforms that once
closed permit
accessibility
operations to be
made in parallel,
then much

28. Marketing analysis
With SHIPinSPACE access to Space is not an exclusive of the
richest of the Planet anymore
By supposing that (much conservatively) 1/1000 can have an
interest to live a Space venture we can potentially count on
7350 Passengers per year, the large difference between Offer
and Demand means an ordering book for many years to come
Once safe Spaceships will be able to operate weekly the Space
Tourism will be considered an ordinary enjoyment Adventure
and will quickly become a social brand and the need to
experience it as our friends have enjoyed. Numbers that look
too much optimistic today will be considered normal when
many Spaceships will be operating
It has been the same at the dawn of Aviation where the
increment of Passengers has far overcome any prediction
29. The business potential
With a capacity as high as 44 Passengers, SHIPinSPACE can
open the way to a new market with 2228 Passengers yearly
With a ticket price as low as $50k SHIPinSPACE will also lead the
market towards a Space Tourism that will much involve
Customers categories made up by passionate people wishing to
live a unique venture that also includes the 2 years of training
and preparation before the flight
The SHIPinSPACE project opens the way to another scale of
business made up by 2288 Flight Passengers and other say 7000
persons, friends/family that will follow with the Passengers to
the Spaceport, a figure that in terms of hotel accommodation,
souvenir gifts, and other consumer deeds can much enlarge the
revenue of the Company and the surrounding local business
(bar, restaurants,)
