This document compares the global book sales of some of the world's biggest authors to real-world lengths and structures. It finds that 2 billion book sales stacked end to end would be:
- Over 15,000 miles long, enough to go around the world 1.25 times
- Over half the length of the Great Wall of China
- Long enough to make 5 Great Sphinxes or slightly more than the equatorial diameter of Mars
- Longer than the Nile River or 263 times the height of the 98 tallest buildings in New York combined
- The distance from Cornwall, England to New York City
- Enough books to build the Great Pyramid of Giza
