The Summer Youth Program (SYP) in Houghton, Michigan provided experiences in aviation, aerospace, and various activities. Students attended classes and then participated in evening activities on campus or in town until 10pm each night. Trips were also taken to local attractions like beaches, mines, and ski mountains. The presentation concluded that the SYP is a valuable opportunity for young people to explore interests and help decide their future careers.

Themes Day of flight Houghton Michigan Tech map Live at SYP Class Activities Atractions
Aviation and Aerospace How airplanes works. Type of planes. Different airlines. Flight simulators. Flight a real plane.
Activities After classes and dinner we had alot of activities at every hour, since 4:30pm until 10:00 pm. They could be to go to a store, fast food, pool or just stay in the university and play, watch a movie or walk. The good thing it was that at 11:00 pm you could see the sun.
Atractions Mine Beach Lake Superior Copper Minners Skii Mountain
Conclusion This is the kind of trials young undecided people need. It helps you decide what you want to be in a future. I recommended it to everyone, I assure you will have a great time.
