This document announces a one-day workshop titled "Bridging the Language Gap: Moving Forward with Best Practices in Medical Interpreting". The workshop will provide up-to-date information to healthcare professionals on medical interpreting and strategies to bridge communication gaps in healthcare settings. Topics will include medical interpreting certification updates, the roles and responsibilities of interpreters, new Joint Commission standards, cultural competence, ethics for interpreters, and Penn State's medical certification program.
