Wallit is a social augmented reality app that allows users to post comments anonymously or through Facebook/Twitter on virtual walls placed at over 700 physical locations around the world. Only those at the physical location can view and post to its wall. Marketers can monitor walls at their locations and businesses to engage with customers or promote their brand. Augmented reality apps are growing in popularity with projections of nearly 1 billion downloads by 2016 in the US alone. Wallit monetizes by allowing targeted ads on walls and selling analytics on wall posts to companies.
