A British spy was sent by the Royal Geographical Society to steal a piece of the Black Stone in the Kaaba in Mecca in order to prove that the Prophet Muhammad was lying about its origins. After studying Arabic for seven years and posing as a Moroccan pilgrim, the spy was able to steal a small piece of the Black Stone without being noticed. Tests conducted on the piece in the British Museum revealed it was a rare kind of meteorite, and the spy subsequently converted to Islam and wrote a book describing his journey and conversion called "Journey To Mecca" in two volumes.
