7. OBJECTIVES OF FACTORIES ACT
The main object of the act is to ensure
adequate safety measures and promote
health and welfare of the workers
employed in factories as well as to prevent
haphazard growth of factories
8. Adolescent: means a person who has
completed his fifteenth but has not
completed his seventeenth year.
Adult: means a person who has completed
his seventeenth year.
Child: means a person who has not
completed his fifteenth year.

20. CHILD WORKERS
No child who has not completed his 14thyear shall
be allowed to work in any factory.
