Job Summary

The Business Area Supply Chain Director is responsible for providing leadership, directing strategy, and overseeing execution
and implementation on all aspects of Supply Chain for assigned Business Area. Serves as the primary operating unit interface
with the internal customers and supply chain COE functional organizations.

Principal Accountabilities

        Supply Chain leader for assigned BAT and member of BAT IPT Leadership Team. Interfaces daily with BAT Leader.
        Lead the BAT supply chain team to implement common processes, systems and Gem policies globally.
        Direct interface with Business Development/Capture Teams to develop strategic and tactical plans to ensure
         competitive pricing, quality delivery, and global spend leverage. Work to standardize Bill of Material (BOM) and
         Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) templates for costing. Provide support for supplier alliances, teaming/partnering
         strategic analysis and decisions.
        Take the lead role for supply chain proposal support: Provide counsel and guidance to category managers. Direct work
         of proposal analysts for pricing strategies and source development. Achieve early involvement with the capture teams
         to define and create BOMs, Scope of work (SOW) documents, supplier partner and teammate identification and
         selection process. Recommend and assist in providing SMEs as necessary to support these proposal elements. Perform
         and direct effort to obtain costing quotations as necessary.
        Ensure that program supply chain personnel are executing all supply chain activities and lead the interface with
         program management in the resolution of technical, cost, schedule, and quality assurance problems.
        Represent Supply Chain on all material issues affecting program performance. Interface cross-functionally to develop,
         approve and implement solutions.
        Participate in development and implementation of best in class initiatives and continuous improvement events.
        Assist VP Strategic Initiatives in conjunction with BAT VP with creation of short and long-term strategic vision for
         business area assigned, acting as a change agent.
        Ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations.
        Conduct regular meetings with BAT Leadership, including review of SLA metrics. Partner with BATs to achieve
         metrics and performance.
        Maintain knowledge of current BAT and Supply Chain COE business strategies and market conditions.
        Manage functional supply chain personnel in BAT.
        Lead cross-functional teams, including director and VP level participants, to achieve and implement Supply Chain
         initiatives and to identify, develop and implement performance improvement activities.

Knowledge & Skills

        Demonstrated skill in directing resources including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned
         organizations and programs.
        Proven ability to manage projects with increasing complexity, spend, and scope in a global environment.
        Ability to provide administrative leadership to accomplish organizational goals and commitments is required.
        In depth working knowledge of supply chain management best practices and laws/regulations.
        Excellent interpersonal skills. Responsive to customer and business requests.
        Ability to listen, diagnose and work in a team environment to create solutions. Effective teambuilding and negotiation
         skills with an ability to influence stakeholders with competing interests.
        Strong demonstrated business acumen and strategic business judgment .
        Experience with Contracts (negotiation, execution and alternatives) preferred.
        Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) preferred.
        Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Active secret clearance a plus.
Experience & Education

         Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or equivalent/related discipline. Masters Degree preferred.
         Twelve (12) + years of progressively responsible experience including procurement/sourcing, contracts, supply chain,
          program/project management
         5 years demonstrated successful managerial experience.
         Certified Procurement Manager (CPM), PMP, or AAPICS certification preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

         Work performed in normal office environment.

Travel

         Varies depending on BAT and program needs and can include travel to austere locations. Approximately 10  25%
          travel.
