With the introduction of the new BCS Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis, Senior Business Analysts can continue their Professional Development and gain recognition for their expertise. To obtain the Advanced Diploma you need to hold the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, take four courses and pass the exams, and evidence your contribution to the Business Analysis community. Before attempting the individual courses, it is recommended that you have a minimum of 5 years BA experience, but you do not need to hold the BA Diploma. - 8. B C S D I P L O M A I N S O L U T I O N S D E V E L O P M E N T The Solutions Development Diploma is accredited by the BCS. Its aim is to provide those involved in enterprise software engineering with the skills and knowledge appropriate to todays demanding software challenges. The Diploma modules are focused on explaining commonly accepted best practices and widely adopted methods and techniques, which are at the same time independent of any specific products and technology vendors. To gain the Solutions Development diploma, candidates must pass 4 written exams and be successful in an oral interview conducted by the BCS. The written exams required include: the 2 x core courses, plus 1 x knowledgebased course, and 1 x practitioner course. Once the 4 written exams have been passed, the candidate can apply to sit the oral examination. QA offers an oral examination workshop day, which prepares candidates for the interview. The workshop day is not compulsory, but is highly recommended.
