This document contains a diagram and calculations for an example RF headend design connecting an ARRIS C4 distribution system to an optical transmitter. It shows signals from 4 DS channels being split and combined through various splitters and combiners with associated losses before traveling over RG-59 cable to an amplifier, then more cable to an optical transmitter, listing component losses and resulting signal levels. The design drawing includes RF level loss calculations between the ARRIS C4 and optical transmitter.
