The document describes a student's app concept and development process. The proposed app would allow groups of friends to sync their schedules, see when they all have free time, and suggest nearby activities to do together. It would include sections to add events, announce plans and allow others to join, display local deals and events, and view shared free times. App Concept - For my app I want to create something that can sync a group of people's schedules and let them know when they all have free times and possibly suggest things in the area that are going on that they can attend. I want to also have a section that you can say for example, Im going to the store Wednesday @10 and people can say if they want to join you and it will automatically add it to your calendar.

Ideation Session Section 1: Add - where you input your schedule and add things to the calendar for everyone to see Section 2: Im going.. - Where you check in to tell people where you are going and to let them join - Ex. Im going to the store 10 Section 3 : Whats going on - This is connected to social media and/or groupon to let you know whats going on in your area when you are free Section 4: Settings - Basic calendar/app settings Section 5: im free - The available times for everyone will be highlighted
Tighter Application Design - Add - Allows you to add your schedule, appointments or any kind of date you want to the calendar - It will allow everyone to see the event you add
Tighter Application Design - Im Going - Like checking in - You add the place and time of an errant or event you are doing and people who want to take part in it can check the box letting you know that they want to come with you - ex. Im going to the store @ 10 today - Megan is coming with you
Tighter Application Design - Whats going on? - Takes into consideration events in your area, essentially like a groupon type feature - Sends events and fun things in your desired location that your group can do together in their free time - ex. events in nyc, local specials at restaurants
Tighter Application Design - Free Dates - Takes into consideration everyone's inputted schedules and compiles a list of when everyone is free to do things - Can be used with the Whats going on? feature to find events to do on the days everyone is free
Tighter Application Design - Settings - General settings section - Allows you to change calendar colors, calendar views, notification settings and all of the basic settings calendars have
User Scenario Vizualization - Amanda and her roommates all have busy schedules and are trying to find a date to visit the city together
User Scenario Visualization - The app tells them that Saturday everyone is free, so they look up coupons and head to the city for lunch!
App Research - Groupme is a messenger app that allows you to make group chats with large numbers of people and like peoples messages and send pictures and videos. Groupme also has a calendar feature which is new-ish to the app and allows people to share a group calendar. I really like the calendar option for groupme although i have never used it myself. I also think being able to make an easy groupchat is awesome and liking peoples comments is something iMessage cant offer.
App Research - venmo is an app that allows your to connect your debit card and pay people online. The excuse of I dont have cash can never be used because in as easy as 2 or three clicks you can transfer money from your bank account to your friends. I really like how simple the app is and I also love the timeline aspect that lets you see who payed your friends and what for.
App Research - switch is a new app I found this summer, Its essentially tinder for jobs. You can swipe left or right to like a job and save it to your file and you can message the company or they can message you if they are interested, or you can apply through their website. I like the simpleness of this app but im not sure how great the outcome is.
App Research - This app is so visually pleasing I could look at it all day. It has so much more than the weather app that comes with your phone, it even has links to other websites with more intense Doppler radar and news casts.
App Research - This app is pretty self explanatory, it syncs all your calendars in one place. The only thing I would change about this app is I would make it have a monthly view instead of weekly because the iphone calendar has that and i think it makes it easier to find out whats ahead.
