Yeast cells were grown in three different mediums - a standard positive control with nutrients, a negative control with just water, and an experimental group with standard nutrients and 50mL of filtered asparagus. The asparagus experimental group showed less growth than the positive control based on absorbance measurements and fewer viable yeast colonies on agar plates, indicating that asparagus may inhibit yeast population growth.
