This document discusses the manipulation of an original corridor recording using audio editing software. The first manipulation used an EQ effect to reduce clarity and make the recording sound as if underwater. The second manipulation used a granulator plugin to add repetition that cuts off some ambient sound. Both manipulated versions hardly retain the original recording's audio quality.
2. When I edited the second track I used VST: Reafir. It is on a
mode of EQ.
The higher the points on the graph the
more clearly the sound is. Throughout this
manipulated clip you can hardly hear the
original recording.
It has made the sound clip sound as if it was recorded
underwater as some bits were mumbled. The FFT size is
4096 and there is no output gain.
3. On my third manipulation I have used VST:KT Granulator. I
have put the IOT to 0.052, the Dur. to 0.253 and Ampt. To
0.850. I have put the Pan to 0.979, the Delay to 4.305,
Pitch to 0.00, Shape to 0.600 and Skew to 0.500.
The manipulation makes this recording repeat
itself slightly cutting off some of the ambient
sound.
