The Summary
Before we begin investing in any fortune 500 companies we have to know what an investment really is,
Investment, as the dictionary defines it, is something that is purchased with money that is expected to produce
income or profit.
 Growing up, most of us were taught that you can earn an income only by getting a job and working. And so
that's what most of us do.
 What we want to do is think outside the box, and make your money work for you. And that is what I will do
for you.
 There is a wide variety of Investment opportunities in the los Angeles area, I have narrowed it down to the top
three

a major global Internet carrier.
 It is the third largest U.S. wireless network operator as of 2014, and served 54.8 million customers at the end of
the third quarter of 2014.
 Softbank has invested approximately $21.6 billion in Sprint, consisting of approximately $16.6 billion to be
distributed to Sprint stockholders and an aggregate $5 billion of new capital ($1.9 billion at closing) to
strengthen Sprint’s balance sheet.
 As a result of the transaction, the ownership of current Sprint equity holders will be approximately 22 percent
(calculated on a fully diluted basis).

 Netflix has a fantastic satisfaction rating. Over 90% of Netflix members are satisfied with Netflix and would
recommend Netflix streaming to others.

 If business is good, owners may consider making additional investments for growth. It
allows us to make decisions based on real facts such as owners equity , balance sheet
,and income statement.

 Explain depreciation and why it matters in accounting?
 Depreciation is when the objects value drops depending on time or trend.
 What three types of amounts are seen in the income statement, balance sheet &
