Care must be taken when reintroducing captured wild animals, including gathering information about the reintroduction area and ensuring it is similar to where the animal was captured, having sufficient manpower and properly equipped transport cages, releasing the animal in the early morning in an area with similar prey and predators, and allowing it time to exit the cage on its own terms rather than being rushed. Veterinary examination is also recommended before final release.
