CareerDFW was launched in November 2008 as a website and LinkedIn group to provide tools and resources for job seekers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It has since incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The website hosts a job board with over 5,000 jobs posted in its first year. It also provides information on career events, professional organizations, and networking opportunities. CareerDFW is run primarily by volunteers and donations, with the goal of giving job seekers in DFW the tools to land their next great opportunity.

- 9. History July 1, 2009 - (8 months after launch) Articles of Incorporation of CareerDFW were filed with the Secretary of State of Texas and a Certificate of Formation for a Nonprofit Corporation was issued. CareerDFW Giving you the tools you need to find your next great opportunityâ„¢

October 6, 2009 - (11 months after launch) CareerDFW receives a letter of determination from the Internal Revenue Service stating that as of July 1, 2009 CareerDFW is a 501(c)(3). - 11. History February 1, 2010 - (15 months after launch) The website launches it New Jobs board. Free to post, free to use, jobs posted for 21 day 5127 jobs posted (in 1 st year) May 25, 2010 – (18 months after launch) Website had its 100,000 visitor October 4, 2010 – (23 months after launch) 1 million pages have been viewed CareerDFW Giving you the tools you need to find your next great opportunity™
- 12. History In 2010 Had 115,176 visitors to the CareerDFW website in 2010 (87% from Texas and 97% from US.) Visitors from 125 countries and all 50 states in the US Averaging 3500 visitors a week. The site list over 140 career events a week  The site has a list of over 100 different professional organizations in the DFW area Participated in 20 Job / Career Fairs in the DFW area Passed out over 6500 flyers at the career events Passed out over 9500 CareerDFW business cards Posted 4,602 jobs on the NEW Jobs board CareerDFW Giving you the tools you need to find your next great opportunity™

Volunteers like YOU 68 people have volunteered to help at job fairs Numerous people sent emails with updates, events, new groups, etc. YOU are the eyes and ears of this website. Donations Pays for business cards, flyers Webhosting, web names Federal and State filings CareerDFW Giving you the tools you need to find your next great opportunityâ„¢
