Job Overview
Plan and manage Engineering warehouse and logistics activities and functions to ensure efficient and effective supply of
tools and material support to agreed stakeholders within the agreed service level agreements.
Job Accountabilities
 Maintain and monitor efficient and effective processes to ensure supply of materials and tools to various
stakeholder Emirates Engineering departments while minimizing internal processing times.
 Plan, monitor and control sufficient availability of resources to facilitate tasks,while staying within the defined
staff overtime limits.
 Setup reporting framework (such as Key Performance Indicators, analytical reports) to monitor and effectively
control processes,and any bottlenecks thereof in time to meet EK fleet maintenance plans as well as despatch
reliability. Prepare and continuously review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process control
documents e.g. Warehouse Operating Instructions,etc.
 Co-ordinate with stakeholder departments in relation to execution / completion of specific job accountabilities as
per agreed standards.
 Contribute to yearly budget preparations / calculations through accurate recording of transactional and non-
transactionalactivities in relation to specific job accountabilities.
 Plan, prepare and monitor training and performance development of staff in line with agreed training procedures /
standards ofairworthiness control and safety requirements.
 Contribute to implementation and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and optimum utilization of
various IT systemframeworks to ensure increased efficiencies.
 Ensure to adhere and maintain relevant Engineering Procedure Manuals,Warehouse Operating Instructions.
Cover any new procedure & activity that is required to incorporated in EPMs / WOIs.

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Goods Inwards
 Plan and manage all activities of engineering goods receipt process to ensure smooth flow during the inspection
and release of the incoming spares,tools and raw materials including reverse logistics of materials from
maintenance.
 Organize efficient discrepancy management processes to ensure visibility, accountability and expeditious
processing of all discrepant received materials.
 Coordinate and oversee material inspection functions ensuring compliance with Airworthiness requirement and
EK Engineering Quality Assurance procedures.
Binning
 Plan, coordinate and oversee the binning and storage of materials & tools as per storage type classifications and
stocking strategies to ensure optimal usage of warehouse storage space and control material shelf life timelines.
 Coordinate and ensure efficient in-house receipt processes ofoperational materials from overhaul shops.Identify
and promptly highlight discrepancies in receipts promptly to agreed stakeholder departments.
 Monitor and control binning processes to minimize inventory discrepancies caused by errors in binning and in-
house receipt.
Main Stores Operations
 Organize and continuously review picking, internal movement and issue of tools & materials as per requests form
stakeholder departments
 Monitor and Control picking / issue processes to minimize inventory discrepancies
 Monitor and review Aircraft on Ground (AOG) processes and AOG handling response time (end-to-end AOG
situation management) for tools & materials to minimize AOG time
Tool & Equipment Stores
 Organize, plan and manage tools support for stakeholder departments through effective tools stores operations,
planning tools inventory as per reviewed stakeholders requirements and tools usage data,and replenishing and
procuring tools
 Review support documents required for part basic creations by referencing to aircraft technical publications like
TEM, CMM and AMM
 Review / approve DRs raised for Tools & Equipment

Spares Delivery Group (SDG)
 Plan and monitor delivery activities to facilitate timely availability of aircraft material at customers? agreed
delivery locations
 Review and ensure interaction with stakeholder departments to dynamically review (add and/or delete) customer
locations to facilitate maintenance capacity expansion
 Manage and control efficient logistics processes to Dubai World Central (DWC) for just-in-time replenishment,
reverse logistics and AOG support
Despatch & Shipping
 Review and Certify outbound shipping invoices and process for approval from senior management
 Plan and organize outbound and domestic transport logistics in an accurate and error free manner
 Contribute to evaluation and selection of suitable partnership logistics provider to ensure maximum delivery
performance
Line Maintenance Stores
 Plan, organize and monitor warehouse processes and initiate steps &follow ups to ensure efficient storage and
flow of materials with optimum utilization of warehouse space. Continuously monitor reasons for stock
discrepancies and initiate steps to minimize specific causes (including training / debriefing of staff)
 Plan and organize customer support functions to maximize support to stakeholder departments
 Organize and Maintain control of all Fly Away Kit (FAK) related activities

Position: Stores SupplyOfficer

Job Responsibilities:
 To lead a team of Stores Coordinators and Storekeepers in order to provide the material services as required by
the Company.
 To make efficient arrangements for customclearance and transportation of material from Cargo to Stores by
liaising with Customs and Cargo Companies.
 To ensure the receipt of the incoming aircraft materials is processed effectively and systematically, in order to
make the materials available as soon as possible.
 To arrange for appropriate binning and storage of the materials meeting the storage conditions.
 To provide 24 hour AOG, ‘A’ and ‘C’ Check material support,for the maintenance of EK and Third Party
aircraft.
 To inspect the incoming tools and equipment meeting EK requirements and ensure they are properly stored and
available when required.
 To ensure shelf life controlled aircraft materials, tools and equipment are handled as per Company procedure and
no shelf life expired items are left in the Stores.
 To maintain the flammable store where sealants,paints, and other chemicals are stocked and maintain and control
aircraft wheels and tyre store,as per the airworthiness requirements.
 To make prompt and economical shipping arrangements, to ship aircraft materials to EK outstations and for
repairs to repair agencies / vendors.
 To administer the scrap material storage and arrange for the disposalof the same, in accordance with the
Company procedure and meeting the Dubai government environmental requirements.

Position: Stores Coordinator
Period: From 01/Nov/2005 to 25/Apr/2007
 To check and prepare received aircraft materials, tooling and equipment for the inspection against EK quality
procedures
 To prepare the received aircraft materials, tooling and equipment for storage by assuring the usage of prop er
storage packaging as per company procedures and instructions and by allocating suitable bin locations.
 To ensure that all life expired materials are timely removed from stock and disposed as per company procedures
 To action the materials requisitions originated by EK Engineering production sections and third party
maintenance agencies as per priority and company instructions.
 To supply the tools and equipment to the engineers and technicians as per their demands meeting the desired
service levels

 To proactively identify, investigate and correct systems discrepancies i.e. physical quantity does not match
quantity as per the system.

Position: SeniorStorekeeper
Period: From 10/Jul/2004 to 01/Nov/2005
 To execute assigned receiving, inspection, binning, issuing and/or shipping transactions as per standard demand
priority set by aircraft maintenance sections, overhaul workshops, and third parties to meet agreed service levels
as per company procedures.
 Check and verify suppliers shipping and customs documentation provided by cargo sections agencies and / or
freight forwarders relating to the receipt of all incoming materials from local / overseas suppliers to ensure
compliance with local import regulations.
 Carry out function of receiving and support the inspection of materials received against purchase / repair orders,
loan returns and drawn but not used (DBNU) to contribute to the airworthiness of the inventory.
 Carry out dispatch related activities for shipping of materials to OEMs’ / vendors for repair and overhaul and
outstations to support AOGdemands.
 To carry out warehouse activities and system transactions to remove life expired materials to prepare disposal,
process for quarantine or repair process to comply with airworthiness standards.
 To support the follow-up on the AOG support processes,loans and borrows to ensure quick recovery of grounded
aircraft.
 To raise discrepancies of shipments, aircraft parts/tools and equipment received not in conformance with the
requirements of set company procedures, report to the relevant buyers, and monitor for appropriate resolution.

 Check and process aircraft spares and tool for receiving inspection, binning, Issue and Dispatching.
